Confirming rumblings first reported in mid-August, multiple outlets are saying former UConn head coach Jim Calhoun will be returning to the college ranks with the University of St. Joseph to launch a Division III basketball program in 2018.
The 75-year-old Hall of Famer has worked as an advisor for UConn’s athletic department and color commentator for ESPN since his retirement from UConn in 2012. Glen Miller, a former longtime Husky assistant under both Calhoun and Kevin Ollie who left the program this past offseason, will be working with Calhoun in some capacity, according to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.
