Husband, stepfather was shooter in Windsor Locks triple murder-suicide, police say, but unclear if homophobia was motive

WINDSOR LOCKS — The shooter in the triple murder-suicide in Windsor Locks last week was the husband and stepfather of two of the victims — but authorities could not confirm Tuesday that homophobia was at the root of the crime as family members have suggested.

The badly wounded stepdaughter was found lying alongside her girlfriend, 18-year-old Lauren Leslie, who was killed. Also killed was Delores Wisdom, 44, the wounded woman’s mother. Her husband, David Wisdom, shot and killed himself.

The department’s lead investigator said Tuesday police have found no evidence that the relationship between Leslie and the wounded woman prompted the gun violence.
