An anti-racism protest for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) drew hundreds of supporters, mainly students and parents, in front of West Hartford’s Town Hall Friday evening.
The event was led by mainly student activists, including seniors from Farmington High School and Conard High School in West Hartford, in wake of the eight people, six of which were Asian women, who were killed in Atlanta earlier this week.
“Less than a year ago today I was speaking about Breonna Taylor right here. Not even a year later, I’m here speaking about another tragedy,” senior Natalie De La Cruz said.
