For the first time in two years, UConn basketball’s First Night is back. After cancelling the event last year as the college basketball season itself was in limbo due to COVID-19, First Night returns but will be open to students only. The event itself will take place at Gampel Pavilion like always and will start 7 p.m., with doors opening at 5 p.m. for students to enter.
“The decision to allow admission to UConn students only was made out of an abundance of caution and is not an indication of similar plans being made for the 2021-22 season,” director of athletics David Benedict said in a release.
