Hartford police: Booze burglar may have stolen from up to a half-dozen Parkville businesses

A city man suspected of stealing more than a dozen bottles of booze from a Hartford liquor store this week may be responsible for up to six other burglaries in the area, police said.

Orlando Garcia, 53, of Hendricksen Avenue, was charged with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and violation of probation, they said. He was in custody at Hartford Correctional Center Wednesday on $40,000 bail, prison records show.

According to police, officers responded to a silent alarm at the Han Restaurant, 310 Prospect Ave. near the West Hartford line, about 10:45 p.m. Monday. The owner told them someone got into the restaurant and stole several bottles of alcoholic beverages from the bar area.
