Police were notified of the incident near Washington Street using a gunshot detection system. While traveling to the scene, dispatchers notified police that the victim, Andres Bonilla, was dropped off at Hartford Hospital.
Bonilla was pronounced dead shortly after 3 a.m., from a single gunshot wound to the upper torso, police said.
