Hartford man charged with attempted murder after stabbing another man 10 times last month, police say

A Hartford man known as “Trap Bone” was arrested Thursday on charges he tried to stab a man to death early last month in the North End after trying to flee from police.

Travis Kelly, 44, was charged with attempt to commit murder and first-degree assault after the intended victim clung to life and survived the brutal attack, Lt. Paul Cicero said.

He was captured Thursday by the police department fugitive task force after he was spotted and tried unsuccessfully to run from officers, Cicero said.

The incident happened just before 7 p.m. June 2, when patrol officers were sent to the area of Main and Nelson streets after callers reported someone had been stabbed, Cicero said.
