A North End man was arrested Thursday and charged with the shooting death earlier this month of 43-year-old Levar Jackson during an apparent altercation on Albany Avenue.
Jorge Rodriguez-Donez, 25, was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals and members of the Hartford fugitive task force and charged with first-degree manslaughter and carrying a pistol without a permit, police announced Friday morning.
The shooting occurred the evening of May 18 when Jackson arrived at Saint Francis Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds at about 8:40 p.m., police have said. He was initially listed in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries.
