“A preliminary investigation revealed that the operator of the vehicle, Thomas Henderson, 40, of Hamden was traveling eastbound on Morse Street at a high rate of speed.,” said Capt. Ronald Smith in a release. “The vehicle failed to stop for a stop sign, located at the corner of Morse Street and Prospect Street. The vehicle subsequently struck a snowbank, before striking a utility pole.”
Smith said that Hamden Fire Department personnel removed Henderson from the vehicle and that he was pronounced dead at the scene.
