Hamden police are investigating a fire they believe was arson near Dixwell Avenue and Hamden Park Drive Wednesday morning.
Around 2 a.m., police responded to a report of a fire near 20 Hamden Park Drive. Neighbors were evacuated from their homes, police said.
“Investigation revealed that a shed, located in the rear of the property, was deliberately set on fire,” police said in a news release. “In addition, several windows were shattered by gunfire.”
The fire department was able to extinguish the blaze and are looking into the origin of the fire.
