Hamden police announce increase in shooting reward

Hamden police will announce Tuesday that the reward for information leading to a conviction the person or persons who murdered Dennis Allen-Paige has been increased from $25,000 to $50,000.

Allen-Paige, 21, was shot on Whiting Street Dec. 8, 2019, as he walked home from his job at T.J. Maxx, according to police. His death occurred three weeks before his birthday.

Police believe his death was the result of an attempted street robbery that was committed by several men and that Allen-Paige was shot as he ran away.

Allen-Paige, a 2016 graduate of Hamden High School, enjoyed playing the violin and writing music, died at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
