Halloween Eve forecast: Snow, then cold, descend on Connecticut

A Halloween Eve snowstorm in Connecticut will be anything but scary, leaving most with up to a few inches and ghosting others.

The northeastern part of the state and parts of the northwest likely will see 1-2 inches of snow Friday, while those closer to Hartford and central Connecticut will probably see less than an inch, said Bryce Williams, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service Thursday.

The snow will start falling across the state between 4 and 6 a.m. Friday and will taper off between 9 and 11 a.m., he said. At one point, it will be snowing throughout Connecticut, but the snow is not expected to stick in the south.
