Gunshot victim shows up at Manchester hospital, police say

Police said they got a 911 call about 11:15 p.m. from a man who said he was on his way to the hospital because he had been shot. A female friend was driving him, Lt. Ryan Shea said.

The man said he was shot in the North Street neighborhood, which is between North Main Street and Union Pond. The shooter fled in a dark sedan, he told them.

A 43-year-old man arrived at Manchester Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, police said. He was transferred to Hartford Hospital because of the nature of the injury; he was listed in serious condition.
