Glastonbury police: Teens under arrest after they steal, crash, two cars -- one stolen from a Lyft driver

Police arrested five teens they said were involved in stealing and crashing two cars — one a rideshare vehicle the teens called after the first stolen car broke down.

The same suspects may have been involved in a series of thefts in South Glastonbury Sunday afternoon and during the previous week, police said. The 15-year-old, 16-year-old and three 18-year-olds were taken into custody after a foot chase.

This video released by the Glastonbury Police Department shows a stolen BMW crashing on Route 17 Sunday, June 13.

It all started early Sunday afternoon, when numerous reports of people trying to get into cars at several homes in South Glastonbury came in to police.
