It was a busy week in UConn athletics, with the football team grabbing a big road win while the men’s and women’s soccer squads went undefeated. On top of that, the men’s hockey team finished 1-1-0 on the week.
Women’s soccer finished 2-0-0, getting two valuable conference wins against SMU and Houston, both at home. For their efforts, Erin Spillane and Yamillee Eveillard were both named conference players of the week.
Spillane was named the offensive player of the week after she scored the game-tying goal against Houston to send the match to overtime on Sunday and assisted on both of the UConn goals in the 2-1 victory over the Mustangs on Thursday.
