Former UConn Women’s Soccer Defender Tori Patterson Named to Jamaica World Cup Roster

When the 2019 Women’s World Cup kicks off this summer in France, UConn women’s soccer will be represented. Tori Patterson, a defender who played for the Huskies from 2014-16, was named to Jamaica’s World Cup roster.

During her career in Storrs, Patterson won 2016 Co-Defensive Player of the Year along with First Team All-Conference Honors that year while helping UConn to two AAC Tournament titles in 2014 and 2016. She finished her career with 53 starts in 64 career games while contributing to 27 shutouts.

While Patterson was born in the United States, both her parents hail from Jamaica, making her eligible for the national team.
