A fire severely damaged a multi-family home Thursday night in Hartford’s North End, but no one was injured.

The fire was reported a few minutes after 9 p.m. and drew several fire engines to fight the fire climbing the east side of the home at 220 Westland Street, fire officials said. Damage to the house was extensive up all three floors of the home.

The fire was knocked down and under control within about 45 minutes and no one inside the home was hurt.

“Thanks to the quick response by HFD, everyone made it out safely and no reported injuries at this time,” the department said.
