Ex-volunteer for Plainville junior swim team pleads not guilty to making, distributing child porn

Accused of secretly filming girls with hidden cameras at a school locker room, a former adult volunteer with a Plainville junior swim team pleaded not guilty to child pornography charges Tuesday.

Kyle Fasold, 50, told a federal judge that he understood he could face as much as 80 years in prison if he’s convicted.

About 40 people watched the virtual arraignment on Zoom, and Fasold’s lawyer suggested a number of them might be girls his client is accused of victimizing.

The case has shaken Plainville since federal investigators in early March accused Fasold of taking hundreds of photos and videos of girls and young women changing in and out of swimsuits at Plainville High School, where the Blue Dolphins practiced.
