Ex-UConn student Peter Manfredonia faces judge in Willington murder case

Peter Manfredonia, the former UConn student charged in a multistate crime spree that left two dead in Connecticut, faced a judge in Superior Court in Rockville Friday as the cases against him move through their early stages.

Manfredonia, 23, remains incarcerated in lieu of $7 million bail for killing Ted DeMers and severely injuring an 80-year-old man during a violent confrontation involving a large blade on Mirtl Road in Willington the morning of May 22.

He faces a separate murder and kidnapping case in Superior Court in Milford for the killing of 23-year-old Nicholas Eisele, an acquaintance from his hometown of Newtown, and for taking Eisele’s girlfriend against her will as he fled authorities.
