A 22-year-old died after being shot while he was driving in Hamden over the weekend, police said.
Kaymar Tanner of Hamden was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
Police said he was shot about 6 p.m. Saturday while he was driving a Honda Civic through the intersection of Newberry Street and Winchester Avenue. The Honda continued heading west on Newberry Street, crossed Newhall Street and went through a fence next to 550 Newhall St.
The Hamden Police Department Detective Division is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call Det.
