Crashes close two highways in eastern Connecticut

Two highways in eastern Connecticut, I-395 and Route 2A, are closed because of separate crashes, the state’s transportation agency says.

In Griswold, I-395 south is shut down because of a tractor trailer crash. The highway is closed between exits 28 and 24, the Department of Transportation says.

In the neighboring town of Preston, a two-car crash shut down Route 2A west at Route 2. The DOT says it found out about the crash about 1:40 a.m. Friday.
