Connecticut forecast: Cold weather, snow on the way

Enjoy Thursday’s weather. But don’t get used to it: It’s going to get colder, and possibly rainy, Friday, and snow is likely early Saturday.

“Winter conditions return in May,” the National Weather Service said Thursday. “Accumulating snow likely Friday night over the higher terrain…” The snow won’t accumulate much, though. It will be less than an inch.

The sun will eventually come out Thursday, and the high temperature will be in the low-to-mid 60s. There is a chance of rain showers overnight, when the low will dip to the low 40s.

The chance of showers continues Friday, when the high will get to the upper 50s.
