Connecticut’s latest coronavirus travel advisory, released Tuesday morning, added Alaska and Montana to the list of hotspot states and dropped no states or territories from the extensive list.

There are now 30 states and three territories from which travelers have to quarantine after arriving in Connecticut.

Under the advisory, which was crafted in coordination with New Jersey and New York, travelers are required to fill out a health questionnaire and quarantine for 14 days upon returning from a hotspot area. If travelers fail to do either of those steps, they could face a fine of $1,000.

Connecticut issued its first travel advisory fines at the beginning of August and has so far issued fines for at least seven or eight people, Lamont said last week.
