Bluff Point State Park in Groton was closed Sunday as a result of a large brush fire, according to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
The DEEP Twitter account stated in a follow up tweet: “Groton Fire Department responded and DEEP Forestry Division assistance was initially requested, but Groton FD were able to extinguish the fire. The park remains closed at this time.”
