At least one person was killed when a car struck a pole Friday night near Brookfield Street and Flatbush Avenue in Hartford.
No other cars were involved in the crash that occurred before 8 p.m. near the intersection between the Walmart shopping center and Prince Technical High School.
The police department's Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and police have asked drivers to seek alternate routes, Lt. Paul Cicero said.
