In the hours after police say Peter Manfredonia brutally killed a Willington man with a samurai sword and badly wounded a second man, he broke into another Willington man’s home and held him at gunpoint.

The home invasion victim, according to warrants for Manfredonia’s arrest unsealed Monday, made small talk with his captor, and then got Manfredonia to talk about what happened.

“I asked if he wants to talk about what took place with the murder and he told me that he hadn’t slept for five days and he just flipped,” the man told state police, according to the warrant.
