Ansonia police have arrested a second person Tuesday in connection to a 2011 homicide outside an Xtra Mart.

Naugatuck resident Luis Marquez, 29, was charged with felony murder, first degree robbery and first degree conspiracy to commit robbery in connection to the murder of Isaia Hernandez. Hernandez was killed in the parking lot of the Wakelee Avenue Xtra Mart, in Ansonia, in March 2011.

Hernandez was found with multiple gunshot wounds near gas pumps located outside the Xtra Mart, and he later succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a local hospital.

Earlier this year, 29-year-old Elijah Stanford, of Willimantic, was the first person charged and arrested in connection to the death of Hernandez.
