EAST HARTFORD — A man who was carrying a loaded handgun while walking through a restricted parking lot outside police headquarters was arrested Friday, but the police union president said the arrest highlights a bigger, ongoing problem.
“We have been asking the town to put a fence around the restricted back lot of the police department for years ever since the new facility was built,” union President Frank Iacono said Monday.
Police spokesman Lt. Joshua Litwin sent details of the arrest of Donasha Brown, 35, but did not respond to Iacono’s statement.
