John Delaney was driving his Pontiac Bonneville when it crashed into a Ford Fusion with two occupants at about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at 360 Talcottville Road, which is also Route 83, police said.
Delaney was transported to Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center with serious injuries in stable condition but later died, Lt. William Meier said Thursday evening.
Both occupants of the Ford also were injured and were transported to Hartford Hospital for treatment. The driver, 19-year-old Tyrese Blue, suffered serious injuries and his juvenile passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
No charges have been filed and the crash remains under investigation, Meier said.
