UCLA’s immediate future is no longer clouded with visions of a Pac-12 title, or even a shot to play for the Pac-12 title. For the next four games, it’s just about the next game.
“The goal is we’re trying to get to six wins, trying to get that bowl game,” tight end Austin Roberts said. “With four games left, to get that four-game win streak, we have to go 1-0.”
Although the team always had a 1-0 mentality, Roberts said, the mindset becomes even more pronounced now that most of UCLA’s preseason goals are gone. The Bruins (3-5, 1-4 Pac-12) are stuck in their first three-game losing streak in the Jim Mora era since the team finished the 2012 season on a three-game slide.
