It's shaping up to be the year of almost firings and marriages of convenience (thanks, buyouts!) in the college coaching ranks.
The final weekend of the regular season brought only one coach firing in the Power 5 -- Texas' dismissal of Charlie Strong. There are only two Power 5 vacancies -- Baylor and Purdue -- with the possibility of more on the horizon.
What does this mean? The 2017 hot seat will be packed, and it will include several big jobs.
