What’s Bruin: UCLA Women’s Tennis Advances While Men’s Tennis Falters

What’s Bruin this Saturday morning? Well, it’s Championship Season. So, we have some tournament updates.

The UCLA women’s tennis team defeated the Washington Huskies, 4-0, yesterday to advance to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship. The Bruins got on the board first by winning the doubles point. Abi Altick and Taylor Johnson were the first doubles pair to finish when they defeated Washington’s Natsuho Arakawa and Kenadi Hance, 6-2. lysia Bolton and Jada Hart then wrapped up the doubles point by winning their set against Zoey Weil and Vanessa Wong, 6-3. UCLA’s first doubles pair of Gabby Andrews and Ayan Broomfield were tied, 3-3, when doubles play was stopped.
