The UCLA Bruins have long since been a major producer in terms of student-athletes making the professional leap in their respective sports. While we had to wait quite a bit longer for pro sports to return this year, the year of the coronavirus pandemic amid other national news stories, the world has returned to at least a small semblance of normalcy with Major League Baseball and the Women’s National Basketball Association returning to regular-season action this past week. The National Women’s Soccer League as well as the Major League Soccer’s MLS Is Back Tournament have also seen the return of pro sports this month, but of the ‘big four’ sports in North America, the MLB certainly took major headlines this week.
