Here are five things to keep an eye on in the Pac-12 this week.
Much-needed breaks: Three Pac-12 teams are on bye this week -- all in the North -- and all need the week to regain their bearings, though for different reasons. For No. 5 Washington, the bye comes after a two-week stretch that saw the Huskies blow out Stanford and Oregon, the only two teams to win a Pac-12 championship since the league expanded in 2011. It was very much a changing of the guard. Washington has been perfect through the first half of the season, and as the hype machine grows, the Huskies get the week to catch their collective breath (and flaunt their record while recruiting) before a second half that includes Utah, USC, Arizona State and Washington State.
