LOS ANGELES – With the exception of the scout team, all UCLA players were wearing blank, number-less jerseys at practice Monday. The scout players sported numbers from key Texas A&M players like quarterback Trevor Knight (8) and defensive linemen Daeshon Hall (10) and Daylon Mack (5), but to linebacker Kenny Young, those jerseys might as well have been blank too.
Going into Saturday’s game at Texas A&M, it’s not about names or numbers for UCLA. It’s about getting a season-opening victory.
“We just come out here, focus on the game plan and winning,” Young said. “That’s all.
