UCLA's Mora throws shade at sunny Rose Bowl

PASADENA, Calif. - UCLA coach Jim Mora has a legitimate gripe with an obvious home-field disadvantage at the Rose Bowl.

If playing 114 defensive snaps in the Bruins' 35-31 win against Colorado on Saturday wasn't fatiguing enough, Mora noted that standing in and staring into the sun on the east side sideline for a noon kickoff made things worse.

"We played a gazillion plays and it was 1,000 degrees and we're standing there facing the sun for some reason," Mora said. "Of course we were hot. I turned around one time and put my back to the sun and said, 'This is a 10-degree difference with the sun at my back opposed to my face.
