The fruits of UCLA Women’s Basketball’s labor continues to pay off as former Bruin Nirra Fields was drafted by the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA Draft. That deserves a very large BOOM!
With the 32nd overall pick in the draft, Phoenix selected Fields in the third round on Thursday night. Fields was the third player chosen by Phoenix after Courtney Williams (University of South Florida) and Jillian Alleyne (Oregon) were selected in previous rounds.
