UCLA upsets No. 7 Penn State for their first win of the season

This was a massive upset and the end of a four-game losing streak. UCLA entered the game as a 24.5-point underdog against the No. 7-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions, and not only did they keep the game close, but they also won it by five.

The win was UCLA's first of the season after starting the season 0-4. The Bruins had been held to 14 points or fewer in three of their first four games and hadn't led in a game all season before taking a quick 10-0 lead in the first quarter.
