LOS ANGELES – The last time UCLA faced an offensive line as physical as the one it’ll face Saturday, it didn’t end well.
Against Utah’s dominant front, the Bruins gave up a school-record 332 rushing yards to Joe Williams. They’re hoping for a better outing against USC’s improved offensive line at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Rose Bowl.
“They’re an NFL-type offensive line, so of course it’s going to be a battle up front,” said defensive tackle Eddie Vanderdoes, who called USC’s line the best the Bruins have faced this year. “Going into this game, there’s definitely going to be extra fire on both sides of the ball.
