The #3-seeded Bruins came out of the gate looking for the win. They scored the first two goals of Friday’s game against #2-seeded UC Berkeley on goals by David Stilling and Nicolas Saveljic.
But the Golden Bears responded with two of their own to tie the game up after the first quarter.

As the second quarter started Alex Roelse gave UCLA the lead back and Austin Rone pushed the lead back to two again with his goal with 6:48 left in the half.
