UCLA Men’s Golf in Sixth Place After First Round of NCAA Regionals

The UCLA men’s golf team opened play at the NCAA Pullman Regional in Pullman, Washington yesterday. After the completion of the first of three rounds, the Bruins are tied for sixth place and they are just two strokes behind fifth place Michigan State and six strokes off the pace set by Texas A&M, which is leading the field.

Unlike the women’s regional competition from last week where the top six teams after three rounds advance to the NCAA Championships, in the men’s regionals only the top five teams advance.

Yesterday, the Bruins shot a 5-under 275.

UCLA was led yesterday by senior Cole Madey.
