LOS ANGELES – Even without any semblance of a running game for more than a month, UCLA has been close to a victory in each of its four losses this year. Going on the eighth game of the season, the Bruins can’t afford to settle for close anymore.
“What we’ve got to do as a staff and as an offensive unit is find that grit and find that competitiveness just to take that ball down the field, score the touchdown and win the game. And we’re not doing it,” offensive coordinator Kennedy Polamalu said.
