The UCLA Football team has received its second preseason honor as redshirt senior center Scott Quessenberry has been named as one of 63 players listed on the prestigious Rimington Trophy watch list. Linebacker Kenny Young was recently named to the Lott IMPACT Trophy watch list.
Per their website, The Rimington Trophy is “awarded to Division I-A college football’s most outstanding center”, so for Quessenberry to make this list is a huge deal.
Last season, Quessenberry had to take on a herculean task at the center position. Though he was poised to play guard, he moved over to center in 2016 due to concerns with depth after 4-year starter Jake Brendel moved onto the NFL.
