UCLA Football Recruiting: DE Jay Max Jacobsen is the first 2020 commit

It looks as if the “8Clap8th” campaign is working for the UCLA football team as they received their first commitment for the 2020 recruiting cycle because of the gimmicky scholarship offering strategy.

After handing out a scholarship to the 6’4, 230-lbs. Temecula product Jay Max Jacobsen during the March “8Clap8th”, UCLA hosted the defensive end on an unofficial visit to spring practice on Saturday. A few hours later, Jacobsen gave his pledge to the Bruins.

Jacobsen is a passion player that should fit quite nicely in defensive coordinator Jerry Azzinaro’s system. He is very energetic and tries to get after the ball on each play.
