LOS ANGELES – The UCLA football team is not in an enviable position, sitting at 1-2 in Pac-12 play, but this is a familiar place for the Bruins.
It’s the fourth time in Coach Jim Mora’s five-year tenure that UCLA has started 1-2 in conference. Each time previously, the Bruins roared back with a winning streak of at least three games. Twice (2012 and 2014), they went on a five-game tear.
UCLA hopes a similar run is in the cards this season, starting Saturday at Washington State at 7:30 p.m.
“We’re just a very resilient team,” offensive lineman Conor McDermott said.
