The UCLA Football team was not good at running the ball last season and it was not for a lack of effort. Heck, it was not even because they lack talent at the position.
Last season, a lot of things did not click on the offensive side of the ball which led to the offense a stalling for most of the year. The running game was a huge issue as they were one of the worst in the FBS in yards per game.
Coaching, schemes, offensive line, misuse of the backs and an awkward rotation kept the running backs in neutral with little chance of kicking it into high gear.
