A few days after the saga of Justin Murphy getting granted a 6th year of eligibility, only to announce he was transferring, the Bruins received more bad news, as Bruin Report Online is reporting that former 5-star defensive lineman Jaelan Phillips has left the program.
Phillips has had a rough time at UCLA, with his two season both being cut short due to injuries, including a concussion last year that ended his season after only 4 games. In fact, BRO is reporting that his leaving the program is due, in part, to those injuries, as he has not yet been cleared to return to football by the UCLA medical staff, and that the door to returning to the team is open should he be cleared.
