The UCLA football team is going to surprise a lot of people in 2018. Though it is perceived that they do not have a lot of playmakers, many will be shocked to know that this roster is full of big-time players.
One of those players was recognized for his achievements in his freshman year last season as hard-hitting cornerback Darnay Holmes was named to the Paul Hornung Award watch list which is awarded to the most versatile player in college football.
According to the Louisville Sports Commission (which gives out the Hornung Award), “The mission of the Paul Hornung Award is to recognize and reward versatile, high-level performers in major college football (Football Bowl Subdivision team member); to help preserve the legacy of one of Louisville’s native sons and sports icons; and to promote Louisville as a great sports town.
