UCLA coach Steve Alford says Bruins can play even better

LOS ANGELES – The Southern California sweater weather arrived at just the right time as far as Lonzo Ball is concerned.

After UCLA returned from its triumphant trip to Rupp Arena, where it defeated then-No. 1 Kentucky on Saturday, the Bruins’ freshman point guard realized he needed to walk around campus clothed a little more incognito.

“As far as people, I really don’t like the attention like that,” Ball said “So I just walk around with a hoodie on.”

There will be plenty of eyes on the second-ranked Bruins Saturday when they welcome Michigan to Pauley Pavilion in front of what will likely be UCLA’s largest home crowd this season.
