UCLA Bruins will need to level up after ugly win

PASADENA – With 2:14 to go against Oregon State, Randall Goforth delivered the knockout blow to the Beavers on Saturday night. It’s a wonder why it took so long for the Bruins.

With a 38-24 win, UCLA snapped a four-game losing streak to keep its bowl dreams alive, but the Bruins took only a minuscule step toward becoming a team ready for a rivalry showdown next week against surging USC.

Quarterback Mike Fafaul got his first win as a starter and earned the game ball. The Bruins (4-6, 2-5 Pac-12) saw the first sign of a productive run game in six weeks.
